Dozens of freeze-thaw cycles each winter push water into brick and mortar. We fix joints and crowns before the next season finishes them.
Century brick
Victorian and Edwardian semis and row houses often share a chimney along the party wall. Soft old brick needs soft mortar, not modern hard mixes.
Raccoons
Toronto's raccoons love an open flue. A screened stainless cap is the fix once they are out.
